Yes, I can't help myself. I love collecting seeds, especially adding unusual or unique varieties to my stash. I am really tested during the winter months and spend a good deal of time looking through catalogs, doing research online and ordering seeds. At one time, my seed collection fit neatly into a mason jar; now the packets overflow large boxes. I mu admit my purchase last month was excessive, even for me. Our local hardware store discounted their 2014 seeds and I bought the whole lot! What I don't use will be shared with gardening friends!
I just received a small order from Seedsnow.com for Jade Bush Beans, Noble Spinach and Detroit Golden Beets. This company is new to me, so far I am impressed with their packaging, pricing and service. They are currently offering a $3.00 discount on any order over $10.00 using Promo Code XHDJG3SN. I still am waiting for tomato seeds requested through wintersown.org as well as a few exchanges made online.
I started reading a new book, The Gardener's A-Z Guide to Growing Organic Food by Tanya L.K. Denckla. It was recommended by Mavis Butterfield at http://www.onehundreddollarsamonth.com/, one of my favorite bloggers.
