The First Seedling of the Year

Yes, the first Lavender seedling has made an appearance!  And only after five days of germination! This seedling was in the "uncovered" container and, hopefully, other lavender seedlings will pop up soon. Lavender seedlings have been difficult to grow in past years and as you can imagine, I was delighted and will be somewhat protective of the new growth.  I usually wait until half of the seedlings in a container germinate before placing them under lights, but I've decided to put this container directly under growlights. No doubt, I'm tickled pink, or rather tickled "lavender"!
